Resources
HeartValveSurgery.com is a marvellous resource run by a gentleman called Adam Pick since 2006. There is a very large community and the information and education around the details of heart surgery is quite wonderful. Includes a monthly newsletter. Highly recommended, even if you don't buy a copy of this book!
The following links can be useful in getting the first ideas about this open heart surgery business. It can come as bit of a shock to hear that you may or may not have an issue with your heart and that you may or may not need surgery.
Understanding what it's about can be extremely helpful in easing some of the natural fear.
